Inflation in Poland is rising much faster than the pessimistic forecasts predicted, and its level varies across the country’s regions. Business Insider writes about the reasons for this trend and how its indicators will change.
Dariusz Lewandowski, CEO of ARIA, was asked to comment on the relationship between inflation and wealth. “More affluent people from urban areas have more savings in their accounts. When there are negative real interest rates, these people tend to look for different ways to spend the funds that are losing value. This money can be invested in durable goods, which in turn further fuels inflation” explains the ARIA CEO.
